The City of Coral Gables Public Safety Team implemented new strategies that resulted in an overall 6.8% reduction in crime this past year. We now have the lowest incidents of reported vehicle and residential burglaries citywide in more than 15 years. We have also dramatically reduced traffic homicides and crashes. We are reducing speeding in our community with more than 23,294 uniform traffic citations and written warnings issued in neighborhoods, school zones, and major roadways in 2016. Our new strategies are working thanks to the community’s support and partnership.
